CBSE introduces problem solving assessment modules for classes IX and XPavan Chauhan | August 24th, 2012 at 02:46pm Continuing the series of improved assessment module production, CBSE brings to the fore problem solving assessments that will evaluate students in qualitative as well as quantitative reasoning and language conventions. This system will be effective from the second term of the 2012-13 batches in schools.CBSE chairman Vineet Joshi said in a conference held at Indore that “assessment is an important tool for students, teachers and parents as it acts as a great motivator if honest and positive feedback is given.” CBSE earlier this month had brought out PAT, an open book testing system aimed at analyzing the practical usage of the knowledge attained by the student in class. This aims to root out the rote learning method that students sometimes adopt to get ahead. Strong emphasis has been laid upon the implementation of a continuous comprehensive evaluation system in all affiliated schools. PSA will carry a total of 90 marks and will have 60 questions of the multiple choice question models. Team Meritnation Entry Filed under: General
